Our Largest Class of Seminary Students Ever!

BTS students, staff, and friends with guest teacher Rev. Brian Nolder (back row center) who delivered lectures on Colossians.
The Biblical Theological Seminary in St. Petersburg is in the midst of the largest Fall Intensive we have ever hosted, with 15 students!  The majority of these students are new to the seminary. We hope you will be encouraged by reading some of the reasons they gave for choosing to attend BTS:
"I decided to study in this seminary because I feel I’m called to serve the Lord through preaching the Word of God – pure and not distorted by human fantasies. Since I’m Reformed, it’s a great honor for me to study in this particular place – in the Biblical Theological Seminary of St. Petersburg. I hope the seminary will enrich my theological knowledge, fill in the gaps and help me to grow in the Gospel teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. After graduation, God willing, I hope to serve the Lord in my region. Right now there is no Reformed church which would hold to the Holy Scriptures there. But I hope it will be – with God’s help – and the Lord will help and bless me in this ministry."
Vladimir
"For me it’s a way to know God and to make my relations with Him deeper. That’s the most important, probably…"
Roman M
"I decided to study in this seminary for several reasons. First of all, I like the curriculum and the way you organize the educational process during the year – it’s not overloaded, to my mind. Second, the list of subjects you teach is very interesting for me. And third, I want to get a diploma because I want to teach in future."
Andrei S
"To obtain an in-depth knowledge of the Word of God to serve the Lord better in future."
Vitali
"Education is important because there should be more of those who are well taught, who can explain the Bible the right way. But not all people have a desire to study or abilities. I have a desire and I hope God will provide the abilities. What shall I do after I get this education? God willing, I’ll apply all my knowledge to my brothers’ good to help them be strong in faith."
Andrei D
"I feel a need to get some biblical education to be more effective in my ministry and to be able to teach God’s people. I expect the seminary will provide the education which will be easily understood and sound, and I hope to meet experienced and mature biblical teachers. My plans for the future? To teach the Bible in biblical schools, missionary centers, Christian universities and seminaries. As a pastor of the local church I’d like to plant new churches – both in Russia and abroad."
