A preacher once said that “God never makes any junk!” Fortunately for Pastor Pavel, this is not always the case, because scrap metal (a.k.a. “junk”) pays the bills, so he can shepherd his flock at Morningstar Evangelical Church, southeast of St. Petersburg.

Like most HopeRussia students, Pavel studies at our seminary while working two jobs, one of which is pastor.  Our students are already pastors and church planters, scattered across eleven Eurasian time zones.  So our instructional model is based on two-week intensive courses—taught in St. Petersburg—allowing our students to continue in ministry while they study.  We conduct two intensive courses per year (Fall and Spring). We also provide year-round one-on-one mentoring for each student from HopeRussia founder, Blake Purcell, who speaks fluent Russian. We give these things to our students at no charge.

So here’s where you come in!

During this season of generosity, your contribution to the HopeRussia Christmas Gift will make next year’s intensives happen for Pavel and many others like him.

This Christmas season, all of us at HopeRussia, on both sides of the Pacific, invite all of you to “Click on the Wreath!”
